I don't believe so, as long as it's not a new character, in my opinion. People change there name in
 RL all the time without having to die and be reborn. As long as you keep an alias of your former
 name and as long as it's the same character, I don't see a problem with it, however, I don't know
 what the official stance of the MOO is on it.
