Subject:  Newbies

We've all been newbies sometime or another...perhaps a long, long time ago, but everyone has been a
 newbie. Try to think back to that time when you were young and fresh...and then someone with stats
 about 100 times as good as yours came up to you and stole everything you owned.  Or beat you up. 
 And then stole everything you owned.  That was an unpleasant experience, yes?  It was
 discouraging, yes?
Now, the last time I checked, LostAges was a 'newbie-friendly' MOO. For those of you who don't
 understand this, it means that the MOO is friendly to newbies.  For a MOO to be friendly to
 newbies, the players have to be friendly, correct? Why then, have about four newbie characters
 been pick-pocketed from in the last two days? Two of them with everything they owned taken? One of
 them even before he got any equipment? Are those thieves so weak that they can't steal from
 established players and have to bully newbies with no stats? Or are they so deprived that they
 derive pleasure from it?
All I'm saying is, give the newbies a break. Give them a chance. Give the _MOO_ a chance to grow.
 It won't happen if all the newbies get scared away.
