Subject: bots and multiple command lines
I personally use the same commands over and over again. Particularly when sparring. I use the stun
command over and over again on the same body part. Sometimes without saying anything or changing
weapons. While it is possible to set a trigger to do so I choose not to. I believe that it is also
mentioned in the game rules that tick timers and the like for that sort of thing is illegal.
However, I personally feel that finding a way to determine who is using them except over long
periods of time is very hard to do. Just for the very fact that a number of command lines entered
and being checked for, would not only drain the server resources, but have problems such as the
what I mentioned above with sparring.
It is possible to determine if someone is using one by repeatedly paging them. If they see it they
would normally respond. If after multiple pagings they dont then chances are they are. In which
case when I first got on and didnt realized tick timers were illegal I was disconnected and when I
came back was told they were. Since which I dont use them for character actions. Of course Im not
a coder and their might be a way that I am not aware of, but from what I do know about computers
if someone were to try and keep track of the number and frequency of EVERY persons actions it
would tend to become overloaded as is.
Thats my thoughts on it anyway. If Im wrong so be it.
