Subject:  I Pledge Allegiance...

Dammit...today started off as such a good day.  Scored a few coins off of various passersby this
 morning, found a couple of possible 'high-profit marks' this afternoon, and went to celebrate a
 good day's hard, honest work at Mariamne's.  I didn't even have to pay for my drink!  So what am i
 whining about, you ask?  I'll tell you.
There's this guy in fancy armor sitting at the bar as well.  Rough looking character, but he looks
 fairly wealthy so I start up a conversation to get a better idea of what to expect.  Turns out
 this guy is some Zalbag Kain, general of the armies of the Spider Goddess.  Who is the Spider
 Goddess, you ask?  Well I asked the same thing.  Know what I found out?  Not a damned thing!  I
 never heard of her, much less him, but the guy was getting more and more creepy with each passing
 moment.  I was just about to finish off my drink and get outta there when it happened.
He tells me he wants me to join his army.  Do I look like a soldier?!  If you've seen me, you know
 the answer to that.  So I tell him where he can stick his army and he tries to get tough with me. 
 I smack him around for a bit, but I was outnumbered.  You know how this sort of thing
 goes...anyways, I have no choice but to say yes.  Don't look at me like that, there was nothing
 else I could do!
So here I am, a servant of the Spider Goddess, Liriel, a soldier in Zalbag Kain's army, and an
 instructor of thieves and assassins.  Well, that's what Zalbag thinks.  Sure, I swore and oath of
 allegiance to him and this Spider Goddess, but come on!  This is me we're talking about, and when
 the hell have I ever been a man of my word?
