Subject:  The Rune Stone

Rathe Fortimissie moved through the land surrounding the mountain slowly, he know undead roamed
 freely here and were quite dangerous. He stopped at a sloping path and removed his helm to wipe
 the sweat from his brow, he looked up quickly as he heard something move in the distance. Pulling
 the strap on his helm tight under his chin he raised his mace and moved silently in the direction
 of the noise. He moved closer to the base of the mountain the noise was closer now. As he sunk low
 in the bushes he could hear the noise was a high pitch whistle. Holding his mace ready he sprung
 from the bushes with a snarl he glanced around to notice there was nothing around but a crack in
 the mountain where a cold breeze blew from.

Moving slowly towards the crack Rathe slipped in just barely and looked around. A thin flicker of
 light came from the crack and he noticed frozen stalagtites and stalagmites filled the cave.
 Moving slowly through the misty darkness he entered a smaller room. In the center was a pedastal
 that held a glowing stone with runic writings engraved on it. Moving towards it he noticed the
 room was starting to heat up. Rathe stuck his hand out slowly to grab the stone, as he did he
 imediatly pulled his hand away. On half of his hand the runic letters sizzled from a burn and the
 other have was covered in frost. Pulling on his gauntlets he once more grabbed the stone yet this
 time felt a surge of energy. Both warm and cold filled his body as he felt an intense power come
 over him. Visions of battles long past blurred his vision and he soon blacked out. When he came to
 he still gripped the stone in his right hand, putting the stone in his bag he quickly exited the
 cave and ran to the White Board to alert Tel to his discovery.
