Subject:  Coming home....

Carydhuin ducked her head almost unconsciously as she left the temple.  It was second nature now,
 after the months of training, avoiding the low sill of the door.  She walked down the cobbled
 path, her steps swift but careful, always careful.  It would be the last time--she was going home.
Her hands were bare, as they had been since the priests made her lay her sword aside.  Her hair had
 barely even begun to grow back from its shaven state, and she had nothing but the battered bag at
 her back and the clothing she wore.  Her hip stung with the healing tattoo they had laid on her,
 and her mind whirled.  Doggedly, she passed the unmarked border of the temple grounds and set out
 for home, her steps silent, her slim body nearly invisible in the dimness of the forest.
