plots

A place to send IC related OOC stories. These probably won't be able to be used against or for your character ICLy, this is just to keep track of the plots in progress.

Subject: Patience Wearing Thin

The pounding in his head only increased as he struggled to make his way through the market place.
"I've been away for too long" he thought as he ran his hand through his hair, hoping to ease the
pain a little. He slowly made his way through the crowd when a young man suddenly bumped into
him. "I'm sorry sir! I didn't see you there" the man blurted out as he tried to slip on through
the crowd. Rayne nodded slowly, starting on his way again when he noticed his sack of gold coins
was missing. He growled as he whirled around and grasped the young man by the arm. Rayne felt a
surge of energy rushing through his body as he twisted the thief's arm, dropping him to his knees.
The young man cried out "Please sir...the pain!!" Rayne only squeezed tighter and tighter, not
speaking a word. He didn't have to for his eyes told more than needed to be known. An old woman
from the crowd saw the struggle and shouted out, drawing even more attention. Rayne snapped out
of it, looking down on the thief writhing around in pain. He clenched his arm as if it were about
to fall off and rolled onto his back. Rayne staggered back in horror as he saw the young man's
arm composed of solid rock. By this time an angry mob had surrounded the scene and began closing
in on him. He instinctively reached for his greatsword, knowing he could easily dispose of the
unarmed townspeople. He glanced back down at the thief, stared in disbelief of the horror he had
created, and could not bring himself to draw his sword on these people. Instead he ran straight
for people surrounding him and made his way through, taking care to cause as little damage to
these scared people as he could. He finally broke free and ran until he could run no more. He
dropped to his knees, scared and out of breath. He recognized the jungle around him...he was
almost home, but he could not bring himself to care. Laying down on his side, he fell asleep in
the rain, drifting off to a world of nightmares full of fear and sorrow and hate.
