Maxis stood outside the building, watching the sunrise.  A few days had passed, in which time he
 had barely seen Khylel.  Maxis instead took to training himself, that is, until the bird dropped
 the letter for him to come to the elder's house, immediatly.  And there he was, waiting, like he
 always had.  Finally, Khylel stepped out the door, and motioned for Maxis to follow him.

The inside had changed since Maxis had last entered the room.  Instead of ornamental carpets, there
 was now a fighting ring.  The elder sat upon his seat, and several warriors were kneeling in front
 of him.  "Maxis." said the elder. "We have much to discuss, but first, I want to see if what
 Khylel..." the elder motions towards Khylel, who was standing in the shadows, "...said is true." 
 The elder stood, as did the three warriors. "You can either accept the challenges made by these
 three men, or leave.  If you leave, you may rest a few days here, then, you must go... leaving
 this land forever."

Maxis looked at the three men, then threw his cloak on the ground.  He straightened up, and then
 slowly entered the ring...

The first challenge lasted less then a minute, Maxis had him flat on his back, before healing the
 man and helping him to his feet.  The second proved a bit harder, but Maxis prevailed once again,
 not yet taking a direct hit.  The third challenger started out the fight by punching Maxis in the
 face, which knocked him to the floor.  Maxis managed to defeat him after a long fight, but he
 succeded.  After the last fight the elder applauded. "Well done lad!  Well done!  I see you trully
 are worthy of becoming an Acolyte...  Rest, come back to me tommorrow afternoon, the three of us
 have many things to talk about..."
