Subject:  On the edge.

His arms ached, and sweat stun at his eyes, yet he continued.  His entire head was coated in sweat,
 his arms fully extended in front of his body.  All of his concentration was focused forwards,
 towards the empty sea and sky.  He took a deep breath and brought his palms together, a slight
 glow enveloping them.  He spun around and let loose a cosmic fireball, flying towards the sea.  He
 concentrated on the spinning orb, his arms still extended.  Suddenly, the orb veered off, spun
 around, anc came flying back towards Maxis.  The boy didn't move, then, right at the last second,
 he swung his arm.  The ball of energy deflected off his arm and slammed into a boulder,
 disentigrating it.  <Must... find a way....>  was the last thought that entered his mind
 before collapsing with extreme exhaustion.
