Subject: Spells, et al.
Hi there,
I know everyone is aching to learn all these cool and nifty spells we have out, but think of this
for a moment.
Sure, having coded spells is awesome, and devastating people by queueing "fireball at <hapless
joe>" is surely interesting, but it isn't all about coded to be perfectly honest with you.
Sure, I might not seem to be the best person to talk about this, since I am basically a
non-sparrer RP person, but I find that even though having the necessary spells at hand is groovin,
using the magic of your imagination, you can virtually create any spell within the bounds of
whatever you deem necessary.
When I RPed a mage on GW, I made this RP group called the 'Spellsingers' (I know, some Lambda class
too I guess, but oh well). None of the spells were coded (though I could've easily made some and
asked for approval), but people did join and well, they RPed spells, and heck, it was pretty cool.
Now, I'm not saying you should for-go(sp?) coded spells, but I think atleast to throw more variety
into the game, perhaps you should focus a little more on the RP side of the class, and perhaps
that'll heighten your present and future enjoyment of the game.
I'll throw more ideas out into the fray later or whatever, but for now, atleast think about my
words, ignore them if you feel the need to, and hey, relax and have fun. That's what this place is
all about anyway.
